We are almost 21 weeks and the doctor said the anatomy ultrasound results came back and everything looks great. At 15 weeks, we heard what we thought was an arrhythmia (irregular heart rhythm) on our home doppler and the doctor did not hear it when he checked at 16 weeks. He listened at our 20 week appointment and it was much more pronounced. Right now he is not overly concerned and said that it can often clear up on it's own. We are asking for prayers for our baby girl and that the Lord will heal her heart. If it is still present at our next appointment I will probably ask if we can look into seeing a specialist and getting a special scan of her heart just to double check everything. It might not be a physical problem and may be physiological. I've read similar accounts from other women and most of their doctors are following it closely and doing extra testing.
Now on to the more pleasant updates!
We have started working on the nursery and here is a quick sneak peek! We are waiting on a few special things from Etsy and I can't wait to get it all put together. We have waited so long for this precious girl!
